Douglas Eisner selected as the CEO of AgroSpheres
Charlottesville, Virginia - AgroSpheres announces the selection of Douglas Eisner, JD, MBA to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Doug was the Chief Operating Officer and a co-founder of GrassRoots Biotechnology, an agricultural biotechnology company that was spun-out of Duke University in 2007. As COO, Doug helped manage GrassRoots’ 5-year strategic alliance with Monsanto. The team grew the company to 25 employees and over $4.5 million in annual revenue. Monsanto acquired GrassRoots in 2013. Doug began his career as an attorney, first as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and then as a commercial litigator at White & Case and Edwards & Angell.

Doug joins during a crucial stage of growth for AgroSpheres. His experience will help AgroSpheres navigate negotiations with corporate partners and efficiently complete technical milestones necessary for scale and commercialization.
